History of Miwa

Miwa History and Folk Material Gallery

(Opened on April 1, 1986)

Our local cultures that date back to the ancient Jomon period have changed with the times. An invaluable legacy inherited by our ancestors may seem to be on the brink of extinction.

It is our duty, as men of the present day, to accumulate and preserve these precious legacies.

Miwa History and Folk Material Gallery displays 2,500 to 2,600 materials from old generations collected from the viewpoint of the policy mentioned above. In addition to these folk assets, it accommodates other various materials.
